Thiruppugazh IAS ( Retired) \n7:25 PM: Vote of Thanks by Honorary Secretary ISACA Chennai Chapter \nProfile of Speaker: \nDr Thiruppugazh\, As an administrator  involved in various aspects of resources\, human and financial management\, and as one involved at the ground level during various relief\, mitigation\, preparedness and reconstruction programmes\, He has vast and enriching experience in diverse aspects of Disaster management. As an IAS and also as a specialist in Disaster Management. He has over 30 years of experience in administration\, superintendence and management of several areas including management of disasters. He has managed many natural and man-made hazards at the sub-district\, district\, state and national levels including response and relief\, prevention\, mitigation\, and preparedness. \n\n\nMore than 5 years work experience as Advisor\, Policy and Planning in the National Disaster Management Authority.\nWorked as Joint CEO\, Additional CEO and CEO in Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority for more than 14 years in various capacities as implementing various mitigation\, and preparedness project\nSet up the Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management\, a dedicated Institute for training in Disaster Management and in Capacity Building; Served as the Executive Director of the Institute for 8 years.\nHas written several papers and book chapters on disaster management which have been published by reputed journals and publishers. Presented papers & delivered talks on various themes related to disaster management both at national and international conferences and meetings.\n\n\n
