Background

He is former Chairman of the board of Trustees of Center of Excellence in Digital Forensics (India) and served as Global Chair for five consecutive terms, at International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals, USA. He is an IBM GIO alumnus.

One of the early awardees of certificate as Lead Auditor of Artificial Intelligence Management Systems - ISO/IEC 42001:2023.

He served for three consecutive terms as India’s country representative at the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP-TC11). He served earlier as Global Chair of E&A Committee of the GAISP (Generally Accepted Information Security Principles) initiative in the US.

He served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Madras and at the University of Dubai teaching a Masters program at both Universities. He has delivered over 70 workshops for CISSP aspirants in 14 countries across 22 locations. He has been an invited keynote speaker and session chairman in professional conferences in 21 countries.

He has a multi-disciplinary doctorate (Ph.D) in the area of cyber-criminology from the University of Madras (India); a Masters degree (MBA with Distinction) in Technology Management from the University of Lincoln (UK) and a Masters degree (LLM with Honours) in International Business Law from the University of Salford (UK). He holds FCA, CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CDPSE credentials and honorary fellowships – FISC & FCFIP..

He is founder President of first Indian chapter or ISC2; served as Vice President of Zambia and Chennai Chapters of the Institute of Internal Auditors. He had also served earlier on the Boards of ISACA Chapters in Chennai, Bangalore and Dubai.

Before starting Valiant Technologies in 2003, he worked as Managing Director of Thewo Corporate Services in Lusaka (Zambia); Commercial Director of Benetone Group Companies in Bangkok (Thailand) and as Commercial Director of Dynaspede Integrated Systems Ltd, Mumbai (India).

Details of the Workshop:

Description :This will be a full day workshop. In the 1st half we will  conduct a game called The Digital Collage through which participants will understand about Digital Sustainability and how IT impacts the Environment. The participants will be divided into 5 teams. The  3 stages  of the workshop will be covered in the 1st  half which will be Understanding, Creativity and Feedback. The 4th  stage of  Action will be done in the 2nd  half.

In the 2 nd  half, each team will be given a business problem and they have to find the solution based on the learnings gathered  in the 1st  half of the day and create a pitch deck and present it to the others. We will use Sailboat for the facilitation of the Action part.

Pre requisites for learners:There is no pre-requisites for the learners. However, we will need the general profile of participants at least 2 days in advance. Learners do not need to prepare anything for this workshop.

Logistics required during session 5 Round Tables, 5 White Boards, White Chart Papers – 8 pieces for each table, Coloured Markers for the white board and chart paper – 2 per table of 2 different colours for each table. We will bring the sticky notes.

She has also championed the cause of organizational diversity and inclusivity.

As Co-Founder & Executive Director at Green Computing Foundation, she is spearheading initiatives to align Information Technology with environmental and ethical considerations. This includes implementing eco-friendly technologies, optimizing energy consumption, and ensuring ethical sourcing of IT resources. She is co-creating programs, frameworks, best practices on Sustainable IT and also is the signatory for the Sustainable IT Manifesto.

Dr. Surabhi os an IICA certified Independent Woman Director. She is also the Co-Chair of Sustainable IT Council for Global South at GSFN and Vice Co-Chair of Sustainable IT Research Board at UN-aligned.

As a Sustainability Consultant and trainer, she focuses on championing the cause of Sustainability in order to build a greener and liveable planet for all. She is at the forefront of integrating sustainability principles into business strategies. She is deeply committed to navigating organizations toward sustainable practices that not only align with regulatory requirements but also contribute to the long-term profitability, resilience and reputation of the organizations.

Workshop Facilitator 2 : Dr. Niladri Mallick Choudhuri

Dr. Niladri Mallick Choudhuri is an experienced expert in IT Industry and Sustainable IT Practices, having 34+ years of Delivery, Consulting and Training experience. He is an international author. He is a well acknowledged thought leader in the area of Sustainable IT, DevSecOps, SRE, VSM, Sustainable IT and Resilience. He is one of the signatories of Sustainable IT Manifesto and creator of the Sustainable IT Framework. He is the founder of Green Computing Foundation, a not for profit organization for the promotion of Sustainable IT. Niladri is the Chair of the Sustainable IT Council in GSFN for Global South and Co-Chair of Sustainable IT Research Board in UN-aligned.

He is the curator of the Sustainable IT Practitioner Course and many other Sustainable IT related courses.

He is a regular speaker in various global events like DevOps India Summit, DevOps Asia Summit, DevOps World, ADDO, etc., and many other panels and webinars.

He has helped in improving business process for various Fortune 500 and 1000 companies across the globe in areas of Business Agility, Project and Portfolio Management, IT Service Management.
