ICC 2026 — Consent Details
How These Consents Work
Each consent below is presented in two parts:
- Part A — Inline Checkbox Label: The text that appears next to the checkbox on the registration form. It is written to be affirmative, specific, and fully intelligible. The "[Learn more]" link at the end of each label opens the corresponding detailed section on the Consent Details page.
- Part B — Detailed Consent Text: The full, expanded text that appears on the linked Consent Details page. It provides complete disclosure of the data involved, the purpose, the recipients, the retention period, and the withdrawal mechanism.
Consents 1 and 2 are operationally necessary and are presented as informed acknowledgements; however, in compliance with the DPDPA, this is structured as affirmative opt-in actions rather than pre-ticked boxes or implied agreement. Consents 3, 4, and 5 are optional and carry no consequence for registration eligibility if withheld.

CONSENT 3 — DATA SHARING WITH CONFERENCE SPONSORS AND COMMERCIAL PARTNERS
I consent to ISACA Chennai Chapter sharing my name, organisation name, designation, and email address with ISACA Chennai Conference 2026 sponsors and commercial partners, for the purposes of professional networking and relevant engagement communications connected with the Conference.
This consent is optional. Withholding it will prevent us from delivering core conference services to you.
I understand that once my details have been shared with a sponsor or partner on the basis of this consent, ISACA Chennai Chapter will not be able to retrieve or delete that information from the sponsor's or partner's systems. To stop receiving communications from a specific sponsor or partner, I must exercise my opt-out rights directly with that organisation.
[Learn more about which sponsors receive your data, for what purpose, and how to withdraw below]
Consent 3: Data Sharing with Conference Sponsors and Commercial Partners
This consent is optional. Your registration for and attendance at ISACA Chennai Conference 2026 is not conditional upon giving this consent.

ISACA Chennai Chapter, as described in Consent 1.
What data is shared
If you give this consent, we will share the following data with Conference sponsors and commercial partners:
- Full name

We do not share your phone number, postal address, dietary preferences, T-shirt size, payment details, or session attendance records with sponsors under this consent.

Your data will be shared with organisations that have entered into a formal sponsorship agreement with ISACA Chennai Chapter for ISACA Chennai Conference 2026.
Why they receive it
Sponsors receive your data solely for the purpose of professional networking, event-related follow-up, and the communication of products, services, certifications, and professional development opportunities that are relevant to the Conference's subject matter and delegate community.
Important limitation on retrieval
Once your data has been transmitted to a sponsor or commercial partner on the basis of this consent, ISACA Chennai Chapter has no technical or contractual ability to retrieve, delete, or correct that data from the sponsor's or partner's systems. - DPDPA: Explicit consent, freely given through this affirmative opt-in, which is specific to this purpose, informed, and unconditional.

CONSENT 4 — USE OF YOUR IMAGE IN IDENTIFIABLE PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS (BEYOND INCIDENTAL APPEARANCE)
Applies to: Delegates, Speakers, Sponsors, Exhibitors, and all other conference attendees
I consent to ISACA Chennai Chapter using photographs and video recordings in which I am identifiably featured beyond incidental appearance in group shots or general crowd footage in the Chapter's promotional, educational, and community communications materials.
These materials include the Chapter website, social media platforms, email newsletters, Conference reports, and promotional materials for future ISACA Chennai Chapter events. My professional details (name, organisation, and designation) may be included alongside my image where relevant.
This consent is optional and may be withheld or withdrawn without affecting my participation in the Conference.
[Learn more about how your image may be used, and how to withdraw this consent below]
Consent 4: Use of Image in Identifiable Promotional Materials Beyond Incidental Appearance
This consent is optional. Your registration for and attendance at ISACA Chennai Conference 2026 is not conditional upon giving this consent.
Who is collecting your data
ISACA Chennai Chapter, as described in Consent 1.
What this consent covers
At the Conference, photography and videography will be conducted across all sessions, workshops, networking events, and associated activities. Incidental appearance, for example, appearing in the background of a group photograph, or being visible in a wide-angle room shot is a normal feature of participating in a public conference event and does not require separate consent under applicable law.
This consent addresses a distinct and higher threshold: the use of photographs or video recordings in which you are the clearly identifiable subject or a prominent foreground individual, and where that image is used in materials produced and distributed by ISACA Chennai Chapter for promotional, educational, or community engagement purposes.
Examples of use covered by this consent
- A photograph of you at a networking session used on the Chapter's LinkedIn page
- A video clip from a panel session showing you speaking, used in a Conference highlights reel on the Chapter's website
- A photograph from a workshop used in the Chapter's event report or newsletter
- An image from the Conference used in promotional materials
What data is involved
- Your photographic likeness and/or video image
- Your name, organisation name, and professional designation (where displayed alongside your image)
What this consent does not cover
This consent does not cover materials in which you are specifically and individually profiled, featured in a case study, or featured in a speaker profile or targeted promotional campaign. That form of use requires separate consent under Consent 5 below.
Channels and duration of use
Materials produced under this consent may be published on the Chapter's website, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media channels, in email newsletters, in Conference reports, and in promotional materials for future events. Materials may remain published for an indefinite period unless you withdraw this consent, in which case we will use reasonable efforts to remove newly published material within a reasonable timeframe. Material that has already been shared publicly on social media platforms may not be fully retrievable.
Lawful basis for processing
- DPDPA: Consent, given through this affirmative opt-in, which is free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous.
Your right to withdraw
You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at privacy@isaca-chennai.org. Upon withdrawal, we will cease future use of images captured after the date of withdrawal and will use reasonable efforts to remove identifiable images of you from materials that remain within our direct control. We are unable to guarantee removal of content already published on third-party platforms. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
CONSENT 5 — USE OF YOUR IMAGE AND PROFESSIONAL DETAILS WHERE YOU ARE INDIVIDUALLY AND SPECIFICALLY FEATURED
Applies to: Delegates, Speakers, Sponsors, Exhibitors, and all other conference attendees
I consent to ISACA Chennai Chapter using my name, photograph, video recording, spoken or written content, and professional details (organisation name and designation) in materials where I am specifically and individually featured as a named subject.
This includes published speaker profiles on the Conference website, session case studies, testimonials, post-event editorial features, targeted promotional campaign materials, and video highlights in which I am individually and prominently featured, including content published on the Chapter's YouTube channel or equivalent platforms.
This consent is optional and entirely separate from all other consents. It may be withheld without affecting my participation in the Conference or any other consent I have given.
[Learn more about what individually featured use means, and how to withdraw this consent below]
Consent 5: Use of Image and Professional Details Where You Are Individually and Specifically Featured
Giving or withholding this consent has no effect on your registration, attendance, or any other consent you have given. You may give Consent 4 without giving Consent 5, or vice versa.
Who is collecting your data
ISACA Chennai Chapter, as described in Consent 1.
What this consent covers
This consent applies to a higher and more specific level of use than Consent 4. It covers materials in which you are individually named and specifically featured, not merely identifiable in a group photograph but singled out as the subject of a dedicated piece of content.
Examples of use covered by this consent
- A published speaker profile on the Conference website or registration portal, including your name, photograph, biography, session topic, and employer details
- A post-event editorial feature or interview in which you are quoted and named
- A video case study or testimonial in which you speak to camera and are individually credited
- A dedicated Conference highlights clip in which you are individually captioned and featured
- A promotional campaign for future conferences in which your name and image appear as a named endorser or featured participant
- Conference session recordings published on the Chapter's YouTube channel or equivalent platforms in which your individual contribution is identifiable and attributed
What data is involved
- Your full name
- Your photograph and / or video image
- Your spoken or written content captured during the Conference
- Your organization name, professional designation, and biography (where applicable)
- Your session topic or subject matter expertise (for speaker profiles)
Distinction from Consent 4
Consent 4 covers identifiable use in general Chapter communications such as appearing in a team photograph, a workshop snapshot, or a session highlights reel where your image is one of many. Consent 5 covers content produced specifically around you as a named individual. Both consents may be given independently of each other.
Channels and duration of use
Materials produced under this consent may be published on the Conference website, the Chapter's website, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media and digital channels, in published Conference reports, in press releases, and in promotional materials for future Chapter events. Speaker profiles may remain live on the Chapter's website beyond the Conference period unless you request their removal.
Lawful basis for processing
- DPDPA: Explicit consent, given through this affirmative and separate opt-in act. Processing under this consent involves the use of your personal data for a purpose that goes materially beyond what is necessary for Conference administration, and therefore requires a distinct, specific, and freely given consent act.
Your right to withdraw
You may withdraw this consent by contacting us at privacy@isaca-chennai.org. Upon withdrawal, we will: (a) cease all future publication of individually-featured content involving you; (b) use reasonable efforts to remove existing individually-featured content from channels within our direct control within a reasonable timeframe; and (c) note that content already indexed by search engines or shared on third-party platforms may not be fully retrievable or deletable by us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
