Welcome to Enlightening Quarterly Series #3. This quarter the theme is IoT Essentials: Foundations, Pillars, and Opportunities. 

This series of sessions delves into the foundational aspects and advanced applications of the Internet of Things (IoT), structured across three comprehensive meetings. The first session covers the basics of IoT, including its core constituents, building blocks, architecture spanning devices, networks, and applications, alongside an exploration into device design, communication networks, protocols, platforms, and security measures. The second session shifts focus to practical IoT applications across various sectors like manufacturing, retail, healthcare, utilities, agriculture, supply chain, and logistics, with a special emphasis on sustainability in energy, water, and waste management. The concluding session looks forward, discussing global and local (India) IoT trends, the challenges faced in IoT implementation and strategies to overcome them, career opportunities within the IoT domain including job roles and certifications, and resources for further learning such as websites, online courses, and recommended reading.
