EQS 4: July 2024 PDM – Shaping Resilient Organizations

Welcome to our Enlightening quarterly series (EQS) #4. This quarter’s theme is “Shaping Resilient Organizations,” focusing on the context of the organization

This quarter, we will focus on laying a strong foundation for building a resilient organization toward designing and implementing a risk-based process framework. This foundation is critical for cybersecurity, data privacy, cloud security, and business resilience. Our focus will be on addressing internal and external issues, identifying interested parties, understanding regulatory requirements, and assessing the relevance of climate risk.

 First Month: Laying the Foundation

• Description: Develop a foundational understanding of internal and external organizational issues, the role of interested parties, and the impact of climate risk.

Second Month: Real-World Analysis

• Description: Engage in practical case study analysis in breakout room discussions to identify internal and external issues, determine interested parties, assess the applicability of climate risk, and understand regulatory requirements.

Third Month: Crisis to Opportunity

• Description: Conduct incident response simulations based on the case studies analysed, focusing on planning, crisis management, communication strategies, and post-incident reviews.

Speaker Profile
Ram has over 25 years of experience in the software industry, specializing in Software Quality, Information Security, and Data Privacy. He has led numerous successful engagements, CMMI, TISAX assessments, and ISO certifications. With an Aeronautical Engineering degree, an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University, and advanced management education from IIM Calcutta and MIT Sloan, Ram is a qualified CISA, CSQA, PMP, and CDPSE. He is also an APMG-certified GDPR specialist and Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and ISO 22301.

Ram has provided consulting, auditing, and training services in over 15 countries, working with clients like HP, Sony, Cognizant, HCL Tech, and Oracle. He has extensive hands-on experience in CMMI, Information Security, Data Privacy, TISAX, and Agile. He has trained over 1000 professionals globally and implemented ISMS in various organizations. He consults on Information Security, Software Delivery Excellence, GDPR Compliance, Agile, and SOC 1 & SOC 2. Ram has held senior positions at TVS, HCL, Polaris, and Renault Nissan and is a board member and past president of SPIN Chennai.
