Welcome to our Annual Chapter Members’ Day and 40th Anniversary celebration program – 2026

Members’ Day, previously called Founders’ Day, is the inimitable celebration of the Chennai Chapter. The day for each of us to gather as friends and families, recall the contribution of our founders’ and past presidents & volunteers of the chapter and enjoy a session of general interest is here.

Speaker Profile

Dr. G. Sivaraman, B.S.M.S., Ph.D., is the Managing Director and Chief Siddha Physician of Arogya Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, with over three decades of experience in Siddha medicine. He founded Arogya Siddha Hospital in 1995, which later evolved into Arogya Healthcare, a leading integrated traditional healthcare organization. A trained Siddha physician and researcher, he actively contributes to national and state health initiatives and serves as a Member of the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission. Dr. Sivaraman is also a noted author and public health advocate, widely recognized for his contributions to Siddha medicine, literature, and healthcare policy through several state and national awards.

Key Awards & Recognitions:

Dr. Sivaraman’s contributions to medicine, literature, and public health have been recognized through several awards:

• Best Writer Award – Journalism for Development & Social Change (2013) for his health columns.
• Best Doctor Award from Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University for outstanding contribution to Siddha medicine (2012).
• Top 10 Persons of Tamil Nadu Award by Ananda Vikatan magazine (2014).
• Writer Sujatha Award for best small magazine (2010).
• SKM Best Clinical Practitioner Award (2010).
• Tamil Nadu Government Best Book Award for Vangha Vazhalam (2004).
• Bogar Award at the International Muthamizh Murugan Maanadu (2024).

Through his clinical work, research involvement, writing, and policy roles, Dr. G. Sivaraman has played a significant role in promoting Siddha medicine and traditional health practices both within Tamil Nadu and beyond.
